Pentwynmawr Athletic v Clydach Wasps

After a week off the first team return to action with a trip to Pentwynmawr. After the player shortage of the Lliswerry game the squad will be back to full strength; Roddy Arnold, John Nash and Colin Evans amongst those back this week. The home side are a tough proposition on their own patch; the small, tight pitch leaves very little room for passing football, meaning games tend to become battles. This has seen them regularly take points from higher placed teams, even when struggling away from home. Nothing will be taken for granted in what should be a physical encounter.

Clydach Wasps A v Goytre (Benevolent Cup Rd 1)

After having been defeated by their top of the table rivals only a fortnight ago, the second team will be looking to gain revenge in the first round of the Gwent Central Benevolent Cup. Although without long term injury Kyle Cheshire, the team welcome back Phil Odowda, Jordan Powell and James Powell from holiday, giving a timely boost in a tough opening to the First Division Cup. Both sides picked up strong victories last Saturday, which should lead to an exciting cup tie.

Llanarth B v Clydach Wasps B

After the disappointment of last weeks draw with Usk the thirds will look to take out their frustrations on Llanarth. After the
3-2 home victory earlier in the season the open spaces of Llanarths home ground should suit the expansive game the team try to play, and should give top scorer Ben Ward plenty of room to use his pace. Anything less than a victory will severly dent the teams push for the top of the league.
