RTB Ebbw Vale v Clydach Wasps (Gwent Amateur Cup)

The first team start their Amateur Cup campaign with a visit to Eugene Cross Park, to take on Second Division RTB. The team should pick itself following last weeks victory, but things are never that simple, especially when it comes to player availability. The hosts dropped down to Division Two at the end of last season, and have so far been struggling this season, and currently sit in the bottom half of the table. Last week they were on the wrong end of a 5-2 scoreline at Pontymister, but with it being a cup game, and having home advantage on the huge Eugene Cross pitch, nothing will be taken lightly.

Clydach Wasps A v Tranch

The seconds return to the Rec, facing a team that has been one of their more consistent rivals of the last few years. With doubts over a couple of senior players it will be a big test against what is usually a strong, physical opponent. Tranch currently sit fourth, five points short of us and Goytre, and will fancy a victory to pull them into title contention. Last week saw them come out on top in a ten goal thriller away to Fairfield, and they'll surely prove a sterner test than Sebastapol last week.

Clydach Wasps B v Trevethin B

The thirds welcome old rivals Trevethin B to Llanelly Hill and will be hoping to put last weeks shambolic performance behind them. With two good victories over them already this season it will need a big improvement on the last couple of weeks to gain the hat-trick. Keeper Paul Evans should return to a squad looking to re-start their season. The visitors also shipped eight goals against Prescoed last time out, so both sides will be looking to pick themselves up from big setbacks. It should prove to be a close affair.
