Clydach Wasps v Spencer Youth

The first game of the new year is the return match of the first game of the year. The Wasps welcome bottom but one Spencer Youth to the Recreation Ground looking to pick up where they left off before the Christmas break. It won't be easy, with the extended break and the weather preventing training. Kristian Lewis is still serving his suspension, but it should otherwise be a full squad that will be looking to pick up three points with home advantage and struggling opposition, should the pitch pass inspection.

P.I.L.C.s v Clydach Wasps A

The seconds go into the new year at the top of the table, but start 2010 with a tough trip to Pontypool. P.I.L.C.s currently sit in third position and will be looking to use home advantage to mount a challenge to our lead. As with the first team the long break and lack of training will make things difficult, but the chance to put nine points between us and a strong challenger should prove motivation enough.

Trevethin B v Clydach Wasps B

The third team also pick up with an away game, travelling to The Ruffets, as they look to push on in second place and pull themselves closer to Prescoed. Trevethin is never an easy place to play, especially if their first team do not have a game. The ground though doesn't stand up very well in freezing conditions so it will need a late inspection for the game to go ahead.
