Clydach Wasps v Chepstow Town

After last weeks good performance in the cup it's back to league action for the first team, as they welcome Chepstow Town to the Rec. The Wasps welcome back John Nash back from illness, and Steve Davies after a long period unavailable to the side. The visitors currently sit fourth in the division, a point behind us but with a game in hand. Chepstow have not played in a month, their last match being their Amateur Cup victory over Nantyglo. The game should see some action, Town having scored 33 goals in their eleven league matches, but have also conceded 22. This could be a game that goes sees who can push on and challenge Treowen at the top of the league.

Fairfield United v Clydach Wasps A

After the weather forced the cancellation of last weeks league game, this week the seconds face a trip to the Ravine Ground, Garndiffaith in the Gwent Central Open Cup. Neither team has played in the last month, so it will be a case of who can get back into the swing of things the quickest. The Wasps will be looking to progress in a cup draw where their rivals all seem to be meeting each other.

Usk Town B v Clydach Wasps B

Again, the thirds have not taken to the field in a month, and travel to the Island looking to pick up where they left off against Trevethin. The host though have played in the last fortnight; a 2-2 draw with their local rivals Llanarth being played out. The last time they met the two sides played out an eventful 3-3 draw, a game that the Wasps should have won but threw away a hatful of chances. Hopefully they will have their shooting boots on this Saturday.
