Mardy v Clydach Wasps

The last weekend before Christmas and the first team travel to Mardy, looking for revenge for the County Motors Cup defeat earlier in the campaign. The two sides suffered differing fortunes in the Amateur Cup last weekend, the hosts being knocked out 3-0 by Blaeanvon Blues. The Wasps should be able to pick from the same squad that triumphed at Pentwynmawr and will be looking to end the year on a high, and hopefully close the gap on Treowen at the top of the league.

Clydach Wasps A v New Inn

After last weeks thumping win with a depleted squad, the seconds should be back up to closer to full strength for the visit of New Inn. Currently sitting top with a game in hand, the Wasps will be looking to extend their lead going into the new year. Simon Tippings should return from suspension, along with Jordan Powell, Jason Lewis and Tom Morgan possibly all back in contention for a place. New Inn lost last time out, a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Mardy, and have only picked up seven points so far.

Clydach Wasps B v Panteg B

The third team look to get back to winning was in the league this week, welcoming Panteg B to Llanelly Hill, after last weeks gutsy defeat to Blaenavon. The two sides played out a 3-3 draw earlier in the season, a game the Wasps played awfully but managed to claw back a point. Scott Dobbs is missing through injury, but the rest of the squad should remain intact. Panteg currently sit fifth in the table, but last week were on the end of an 8-1 reverse to runaway leaders Prescoed. Another three points would see second place consolidated, though still some way behind the league leaders.
