Still unbeaten, but after a poor performance it was a case of two points dropped rather than a point gained in the 2-2 draw with Cefn Fforest. The visitors opened the scoring after a swift and precise counter attack, but the Wasps were soon level following a Jordan Jones penalty, after he had been brought down by the opposition goalkeeper. After a break in play due to a nasty looking injury to Charlie Lewis-Prosser, his replacement Connor Flook scored with his first touch. The home side though were indebted to a fine penalty save from Dai Pearce to keep their lead at half time. The second half saw lots of endeavour by both sides but little quality, and with time running out Cefn Fforest grabbed a share of the points with their second penalty of the game, their forward making no mistake this time. After being in the lead for such a long period the late goal will have been a kick in the teeth, but will hopefully serve to push the side on to a better performance when they welcome Neuadd Wen to the Rec for the first time on Saturday.
