The first team look to get back into the winning habit after last weeks disappointing draw. There will be a reshuffle in defence with Lee Brown missing for the forseeable future, while Nick Francis should return to bolster the forwards. Bonfire Night

The clubs annual fireworks display will take place this year on Thursday 5th November. The evening begins at 6.30 p.m. at the club, with the lighting of the bonfire. Refreshments are available with a barbecue, bar and hot drinks for sale. Entry is free, so come and support the club.

Undy Athletic v Clydach Wasps

This Saturday the Wasps make the longest trip of the league season, as they visit The Causeway, Undy. After last weeks thumping home win, the team will be looking to take their good form back into the league, though they visit a ground we have had our troubles at in previous years. Alister Paton returns after missing last weeks match to take the squad back to full strength. Undy are usually a strong team at home and will no doubt put the visitors to the test.

The Third Round of the FAW Trophy brings some new faces to the Recreation Ground this Saturday, with the visit of Swansea Senior League side Maltsters Sports. The firsts were disappointed with last weeks draw at Pentwynmawr, but a break from the league will hopefully see the team get back to winning ways. Pentwynmawr Athletic v Clydach Wasps

After a week off the first team return to action with a trip to Pentwynmawr. After the player shortage of the Lliswerry game the squad will be back to full strength; Roddy Arnold, John Nash and Colin Evans amongst those back this week. The home side are a tough proposition on their own patch; the small, tight pitch leaves very little room for passing football, meaning games tend to become battles. Winter Training

Winter training times start this week. Tuesdays will remain at the club, usually in the village hall, at the normal time of 6.30pm. Sessions will also be held on the astroturf at Abergavenny Leisure Centre from 7 until 8pm Wednesdays. Astroturf training as last year, will be £1.50 each.
